I help small and medium businesses grow through paid ads, robust tracking, and reporting that tells you what's actually working.
Most paid media specialists hand you a report at the end of the month and call it done. I work differently - I want to understand how your business actually operates so the marketing decisions we make are grounded in reality, not just ad account metrics.
A thorough review of your digital touchpoints - ads, tracking, analytics, landing pages, and SEO - to identify exactly where you're losing money or missing opportunity. A clear starting point before any spend increases.
Campaign strategy, build, and ongoing optimisation across Search and Performance Max. From accounts starting from scratch to inheriting something that needs fixing - I've done both.
Most accounts are optimising against data they shouldn't trust. I audit and rebuild conversion tracking through GA4 and GTM so every decision is based on numbers that are actually accurate.
Looker Studio dashboards that show you what matters without the noise. Performance data translated into plain language - what's working, what isn't, and what to do about it.
Top-of-funnel awareness, retargeting, and lead generation across Meta. Particularly effective for B2C service businesses and ecommerce brands looking to scale beyond search.
Organic search that compounds over time. Technical audits, on-page improvements, and content direction that builds long-term visibility alongside your paid channels - not instead of them.
The first thing I do on any new account is audit the tracking. Optimising against bad data is worse than not optimising at all - it just means spending money faster in the wrong direction. Clean measurement is the foundation everything else sits on.
Ad performance doesn't exist in isolation. Budget decisions, seasonal patterns, margin across products and services - all of this shapes how campaigns should be structured. I ask the questions most channel specialists don't.
No jargon, no hiding behind complexity. Monthly reporting that's actually readable, proactive communication when something changes, and honest conversations when something isn't working rather than dressing it up.
I'm not interested in hitting a month's numbers by burning budget unsustainably. The goal is always a paid acquisition channel that gets more efficient over time and supports the business as it scales.
I'm Shaun - an Australian performance marketer currently based in Amsterdam. I've worked across agency, in-house, and freelance - including managing multi-market accounts across Benelux, UK, and Denmark with significant budgets. That range gives me a perspective that's hard to get from one type of role alone.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means you get proper attention rather than being account number 47 at an agency. I'm direct about what I think, I'll tell you if something isn't working, and always use data to back up my feedback.
Outside of work I'm into sport, food, art and generally being active - which is part of why the businesses I tend to connect with best are in fitness, lifestyle, and ecommerce. I genuinely care about what they're building, and I think that shows in the work.
Based in Amsterdam, working with clients in Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK. Available for monthly retainers and project-based work.
Real numbers from real clients.
Registry Weddings operates in one of the most competitive and price-sensitive niches in the Australian wedding industry. When I came on board, conversions were being double-counted - meaning every optimisation decision was being made against unreliable data. I fixed the measurement first, then introduced a properly structured Performance Max setup: tightening search themes, refreshing assets, adding URL and placement exclusions, and shifting to a target ROAS bid strategy.
Over nine months: $250,551 in transaction-verified revenue from $46,107 in spend - a 5.4x return. 569 appointments booked at an average value of $440, with around 90% converting to actual weddings, at a cost of $81 per booking. Alongside paid, average organic search position improved from 23.5 to 14.1 as SEO work started to compound.
Functional For Life is a mobile personal training business operating across multiple Australian cities. When I took over in May 2025, campaigns were active in Melbourne only. The previous bid strategy wasn't generating enough click volume to learn from, so I rebuilt the campaign structure around portfolio target CPA bidding with demographic segmentation to better reach their core audience of professionals aged 40 and above.
The priority was stabilising Melbourne first. Over ten months, lead volume increased 157% while cost per lead held essentially flat - in a market getting more competitive, not less. With Melbourne performing consistently, we launched Brisbane and Adelaide in September 2025. Both markets are building conversion history and trending in the right direction, bringing total leads across all three cities to 244 for the period.
Alongside search, trainer-led video creative on Meta - short clips of individual trainers introducing themselves to their local area - proved to be the standout paid social format, generating leads at a cost well below other formats tested.
If you're looking for someone who'll understand your business and help you get more from your marketing spend - I'd like to hear from you.
